Youth counselling gives teens a safe and private space to talk about stress, anxiety, friendships, family issues, or other emotional challenges.
Vedder Counselling has trained therapists to offer caring and age-appropriate support to help young people build coping skills and feel truly heard.
We provide youth counselling in Chilliwack, Salmon Arm and online across BC.

School pressure, social expectations, and future worries can feel overwhelming. Therapy helps youth build healthy coping strategies and emotional regulation skills.
Changes in mood, energy, and interest in activities are common during adolescence. Counselling offers support and helps teens reconnect with themselves.
Teens often struggle with body image, peer comparison, or identity. Therapy helps build self-confidence and healthy boundaries.
Changes such as moving, school transitions, or shifting friend groups can be stressful. Counselling helps youth adjust and develop resilience.
We use a variety of therapies to support youth. Solution-focused therapy helps teens make achievable changes. Strength-based therapy builds confidence by focusing on their abilities and resilience. Mindfulness teaches practical ways to stay calm and manage stress. Trauma-Informed Care makes sure emotional safety for those who have faced difficult experiences. We also help teens improve communication, handle conflict and explore meaning, purpose and personal values.
Our counselling begins with a welcoming session where teens feel safe to share at their own pace. The counsellor helps them explore school pressures, friendships, behaviour, and emotions in a relatable way. Teens then learn coping strategies, communication skills and techniques to manage stress and emotions. When helpful, therapists also guide parents on supporting their teen and improving communication at home.
When a young person feels weighed down by stress, anxiety, school demands, or emotions that seem too big to handle alone, having the right support can truly help. At Vedder Counselling, teens are met with warmth, understanding, and a space to sort through what they’re feeling at their own pace.
Reach out whenever you are ready to support your teen’s emotional well-being.
